Do They Know It's Christmas?

Well, a bit late. After all, today is the first day after Christmas. Although the feeling ago not much has changed. Of course there were gifts - absolutely great gifts! - And the family was there but a Christmas feeling, how was it the last few years there was, not to appear to me somehow. That would have really been missing for my complete happiness yet. Because I'm just happy right now! I have a great family, wonderful friends, holidays and am now for a week with my treasure Dennis. In fact, life could not be better. Honest!

Yes, it's been a while that I have on my blog. I will not write down everything that I have seen since then. I say one thing:

The next milestone - The flight to relax

It is now almost half a month since my last entry was made and the reasons were twofold: first
It is still not much happened in regards to living in Japan, so I wanted to collect
second Today, something important happened.

To start at the beginning, I'm going back to mind the last third of November:
Ich hatte endlich alle Dokumente für den Bafögantrag zusammengesammelt und konnte nun endlich den Antrag abschicken. Auf der Seite des Bafög-Amts hatte ich noch gelesen, dass ich auch zunächst einen formlosen Antrag stellen konnte, dass hatte ich ca. 1 Woche vorher gemacht. Nun, mit allen Dokumenten (bis auf die vorläufige Bestätigung der Uni im Ausland - dazu gleich noch was), lief ich mit einem 500g schweren DIN A4 Brief zur Post. Ich konnte es kaum glauben, soviel Papier für einen Antrag (Spruch von Tai: Was erwartest du, es geht um Geld). Ich kann einfach nicht begreifen, warum nicht einfach jeder Student unabhängig receives a number of semesters / basic / advanced study money? We shall prove but still, how much money you own or have the parents are available (but why do they know how much worth my sister, what if I have no contact with the - Well, what the heck ), but that is after all quite a relief, just because you are then nailed a student, not so on normal period. If you pay back all that stuff anyway must cares what the, whether it is the money sooner rather than later or more and get back ... Authorities ...

Unfortunately I found the gathering together of the dossier not only the student loan office and his "thousand" additional forms on the nerves, but my employer or my company HR. I write an email and ask for extra answer, what is? For a week nothing happened (man, this is URGENT!) And only when I notice (I had requested extra in the mail for an appointment)'m snowed over, he gave me filled out the employer confirmation.
I think it is indeed very feeble-minded student loans from official expected that I know for a year abroad, if I'm in the period of work, but I knew ... * Exciting *
And now we come to the said "preliminary Confirmation of the university abroad to speak, "I think in my position similar sense as the certification by the employer, because I SHOULD provide 6 months before entering the request, but I get the earliest Dec (weighing application ; re Oct) a contact person and how do I know that I must fill out a provisional certificate so ever (on the normal stand-find information pages, nothing of such a confirmation)? Questions, questions, and now I'm sitting here waiting to get response from the university or alternatively from the student loan office ... * Sigh *

was the next big step after I or we have the money together (ten) to make a reservation for the flight. Without listening to the advice of my Sensei, who emphasized repeatedly that we should first wait for the response from the respective university in Japan (as I said, no earlier than the start would be the first in Dec. , April) before we book the flight, I am now gone to the travel agent at my university and I have booked my flight ... unfortunately very expensive because of the departure date is yet very early ... (In 4 months), but I the ticket, and most of my expenses have here in Germany now behind me. * Happy * * cheering *

in HH going to Dubai and on 01.04.09 in Oosaka (from there I have to see it first, how do I get to Kobe, but there should be a taxi service, one directly goes to the front door)

international insurance and all that still important for such a long stay, I then also completed so that I am at least supplied by the German side. I can only recommend to every student in the travel agency STA Travel making for such things, like a semester abroad and the same. The people there are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. * Thumbs up *

At home I found the new Find on Page Kobe Daigaku that I should send an email / fax with the departure / arrival information to the university. On the whole verd *** page but is no contact address!!
Maybe I'm just too stupid to find, but can not come with the same make available on that page?

Even if the whole report sounds a bit negative, I am overjoyed to have this first step behind me. Because it means I now definitely be flying to Japan, come what may ... * * Hrhrhr

addition, we plan (if it hergibt the budget) that Tai is looking for a week or so visit. That would of course fantastic, but is still almost a year now and the money is really at the moment is calculated on every cent.
